Tell us three fun things about yourselves!
Our first date was a blind date, we went to a Gin Wigmore concert that Hamish had won tickets to on the day.
We lived in Sweden near the Arctic Circle for a year, where it was dark for almost the whole day during winter. We learnt Swedish and got very into cross-country skiing, Hamish even did a half marathon race on skis!
Hamish bucked tradition by asking Char’s whole family instead of just her dad for her hand in marriage.
Tell us about the proposal
Hamish proposed on a weekend away at Barrier, it was sunset and we were having a beer at our favourite spot on the beach. As we were about to run down for a swim, Char turned around and Hamish was on one knee. We celebrated that night, and then the following evening with our families at home, with fresh Barrier fish, chips and champagne!
What were you most looking forward to on the day?
Having all our closest family and friends in one place to celebrate with us! And hopefully an epic dance floor.
