Tell us about the proposal?
I didn’t see the proposal happening at all! It was a complete surprise. We had always spoken about getting married after we finished having babies. Little did I know he had sneakily been planning a proposal.
We were away with friends at a beautiful beach called Tapuaetahi. Isaac, Isabella & our dog Beau were walking along the beach when all of a sudden I turned around & he was down on one knee!!!
We celebrated with lots of champagne.
What were you most looking forward to on the day?
For Isaac & I to be surrounded by all our nearest & dearest at my family home to celebrate with us on our special day.
Share your top 3 tips for planning a wedding
– Remember it’s you & your fiancés special day, not anyone else’s.
– When you start planning, focus on locking in the bigger ‘things’ first & everything else will fall into place – the location, food, florals, photographer/videographer, band, wedding planner/co-ordinator.
– Divide & conquer, write a big list of everything you need to do & break it down into months/weeks so you don’t get overwhelmed.
– Always hold your rehearsal at the same time of day as your actual wedding so you & your photographer can see what the light is like. The last thing you want is the sun beaming in your eyes as you’re reading your vows!
– Always have a plan for wet weather!
