Tell us about the proposal?
Ollie proposed as a total surprise. I had been in the Gold Coast where my mum lives with my sister and her son and we flew back to Melbourne to stay on with my sister for a couple more days. My sister and I had been in the Gold Coast solo with the kids so it had been a full, hot day of travel with 2 babies.
We met Ollie at the house and he suggested we go for a walk to the beach and to get a bottle of champagne for my sister and her partner who had recently got engaged. I was resistant as I was tired and sweaty and just wanted to sort Remy and myself out after the travel day, however he insisted so we walked down to the beach and out of nowhere he was down on one knee. It was absolutely perfect, I loved the ring that he’d designed himself (and consulting my best friend) and to have Remy there was the best.
What were you most looking forward to on the day?
Seeing everyone enjoying themselves and having fun across all the different family and friend groups we have. It’s been a long time in the making and we love hosting, also I couldn’t wait to wear a veil and see all the kids dressed up.

I do not consider myself a wedding sage, when planning it in a relatively short space of time with a child involved too I would just say, forget the pinterest perfect wedding and just roll with it and remember the essentials that you’ve loved about weddings that you’ve been to and forget the rest!
