THE SLIDESHOW

Izzy & Hayden

PLAY
Izzy and Hayden were married at the Rippon Vineyard in Wānaka. The ceremony was held in the vineyard’s hall, which stands on a hilltop above Lake Wānaka. Rows of chairs were set out for the guests, and up above, strings of fairy lights were hung in loose curves from the walls to a midpoint directly above the aisle. To the front – where the wedding party would stand – bunches of white and blue flowers by The Green Room Flower Co, were set beneath a large window looking down upon the lake.

The wedding party had a pretty, mix-and-match look. The bridesmaids’ dresses were each of varying design, but all of the same black linen, and the flowers they carried – whilst all white and tied with blue ribbon – varied in type. Izzy’s gown, designed by Hera Couture, featured a fitted bodice with puffed sleeves and a full skirt, her look finished off with a long veil by Harriett Falvey. Hayden and the groomsmen wore black tuxedos, and they had white corsages pinned to their lapels.

Dinner was had beneath a canopy adjoining the hall. The tables were decorated with white tablecloths and arrangements of white flowers, and at each table setting was a blue card printed with the guest’s name. Above the tables, strings of lights were hung crisscrossed, and branches of mixed greenery were wound about the wooden stays and beams. Hayden, Izzy and their guests all sat for plates of roast lamb, chicken and potatoes, and slices of wedding cake with thick, creamy icing. After the dinner, they returned to the hall next door for the dancing.

MY PHILOSOPHY

I SEEK THE STORIES THAT WEAVE US TOGETHER, THE UNSCRIPTED MOMENTS, INFUSED WITH A HINT OF NOSTALGIA TO REMEMBER HOW IT ALL FELT

Throughout our lives, we experience connection, learning, different cultures, good food and wine, music, sorrow, love … and it’s beautiful. It’s all these little things that when bought together create the tapestry of our lives and our memories.

If you’re planning a wedding or would love some beautiful photos of you and the people most special to you, I'd love to hear from you.
